Currents at AuthenticWV is aiming to be an important source of information and opinion about the great state of West Virginia. We will publish here original, thoughtful articles on politics, community, and environment and periodically issue newsletters to document our efforts.
Currents at AuthenticWV.org is an independent publication launched in July 2024 by Daniel Bennett. If you subscribe, you'll get full access to the website as well as email newsletters about current content on West Virginia and its people. Your subscription makes this site possible and allows Currents to continue to exist.
Currents is driven by a team of researchers, writers, and podcasters who supply the content and assure its accuracy. The team comprises individuals with varying backgrounds, ages, and interests, but they all have in common an interest in making every post and every newsletter important. Check out the team below.
Currents has a slant on life that is unapologetically progressive. West Virginia is a state that is struggling to come up to par economically and socially with our surrounding states. And it's undeniable that we have a long way to go. That's why Currents is progressive. We want to contribute to the progress our state needs to make and is making. The AuthenticWV project also includes other components besides Currents. We'll keep you informed about these as they develop.
